Gay wedding? LGBTQI wedding?

Gay wedding, Same Sex wedding, Rainbow wedding, LGBTQI wedding? Whatever it’s called, for me it’s a wedding. Just like we never say “Straight wedding or Heterosexual wedding”.

Since Marriage Equality Law has passed in Australia, it’s already over 3 years.
When I look back, I was the first wedding photographer in Australia that I pushed Marriage Equality through the gay wedding photos back in 2015.

In 2017, I reached out to the founder of Gay Sydney Australia Daniel to see if they are interested in collaborating ”Mock Gay Wedding Photo Shoot” to push Marriage Equality through the photos rather than joining the rally on the street.

Daniel introduced me to Tony who is founder of Mr Gay Pride Australia and David Francis who is the winner of Gay Australia 2017. So we have decided to use David as a groom and found his husband (for the day!) on Instagram where we found Matt.

Wendy & Stephen from Kombi Weddings helped us out to drive us around Sydney CBD with their super fancy kombi car on the day.

Our photos were used on a lot of publicity such as DNA Magazine, Sydney Mardi Gras, The New York Times as well as Australian Marriage Equality after the photo shoot.

Giving back something to our community is something that we always love doing.

THANK YOU SO MUCH to EVERYONE who helped us out on the day!
Look where we are now! We all contributed a bit!!

LOVE IS LOVE - LOVE ALWAYS WIN and…. WE WON!!!
